New toy

I usually use a Mac computer, albeit an old one. I'm in the process of trying to learn how to use my new internet/email device--an Asus Eeepc. It's a tiny little computer, about the size of a DVD case. Should I admit that one of the selling points for me was the fun of having a computer that would fit in my purse?

This is my first blog post from the new computer, which runs a Linux operating system. I have a long way to go. The learning curve is pretty steep, and I hope I don't crash when I hit the bottom!

So you got one! Every now and then I check the EEE forum to see how everyone is getting on - how they're liking theirs after using them for a few months. So far, so good. I really need a mouse to make mine totally efficient. Are you going to post a picture of it?

Karen, I haven't checked your blog in a million years, but I just checked it on my new Asus Eee PC. I've had it about a month now. Do you use the advanced desktop? I've figured out a few things. It's not the computer I do everything on, but it's so cute! I got the pink 4 Gb model. One of the great things I like about it is is has a built-in eBook reader. Have you tried that?

Your CM friend,
Melissa

Ooh, you have an EEE! I so want one. Good to see that you can post easily with it. Have you found any major problems with it yet?
